Plot Summary

The Embassy follows a young man coming of age in Nazi Germany. Raised by radical Berliners grown disillusioned with middle-class Christianity, Heini feels called to live for the God of the downtrodden.

But in a world where compassion is scorned, and cruelty idolized, he finds this calling tested at every turn. Then, as war-clouds loom, and the terrorizing of Jews and dissidents like his parents begins in earnest, Heini crosses paths with his cousin, Hermann, a young storm trooper.

Whose convictions are stronger? And whose leader will be victor: Hitler or Jesus?
