Charles Frederick Giesler [Parents] "Carl" was born in 1777. He died on 1 Nov 1822 in Savoy Chapel, London. He married Caroline Norvell (or Norval) on 5 May 1799 in St Botolph W'out Aldgt.
He was an Austrian fur trader and was given freedom of the City of London. CLRO ref:CFI/1264.
He was a member of the Goldsmiths' Company and traded as a Furrier in Cheapside. He was made free by redemption on 19.03.1802 aged 25. Kent's directory lists Giesler C-F, Furrier and Skinner at 13 Cheapside. Wakefields lists Giesler and Nicolay as furriers at Shoemaker Row, Blackfriars and later (1794) at Creed Lane, Ludgate Street. He died between 6 June 1821 and 6 Nov 1822.
Caroline Norvell (or Norval) [Parents] was born on 5 Jan 1778 in Stoke Damerel, Devon. She died on 19 Jan 1862 in Belsize, Hampstead. She married Charles Frederick Giesler on 5 May 1799 in St Botolph W'out Aldgt.
As a young widow, she became a co-partner in the fur dealers firm.
Her son William was made a Goldsmith and given the freedom of the
City aged 21 in 1822. Her will was proved 03.02.1862. She left
œ45,000. Executors were Charles Frederick Giesler, John Lloyd and Ann
e Caroline Lloyd (dau). At the time of her death she was living in
Belsize, Hampstead, Mx. A codicil to her will instructed her
executors to purchase a burial plot in Kensal Green Cemetary where
she is buried.

Was apprenticed to his father, also Charles Frederick, on 04.05.1814 to serve seven years learning the trade of a furrier. He was made free on 06.06.1821 having served the whole of his apprenticeship
under his father. In Feb 1862 he was an executor of his mother's will. At the time of his death he was living at 25, Saville Row, W1.F iii Ann Caroline Giesler
John Lloyd [Parents] was born in 1770. He died in 1821. He married Catherine Jones.
Possibly of Plas-Isa, Corwen, Merioneth. Gladys Parkes, née Lloyd mentions the place 'Asthrynwalden' in a letter in 1949. He is believed to have moved to London and started a tobacco business. Also associated with Llan Gwm Hendre and Arddwyfaen near Corwen.
Catherine Jones died in 1850. She married John Lloyd.

John Lloyd [Parents] was born in 1797. He died on 5 Aug 1875 in Brunswick Sq, Hove, Sussex. He married Ann Caroline Giesler in 1828.
He was alive in 1862, when he was an executor for his mother-in-law's will. Described by Gladys Parkes as an 'old beast whom everyone loathed' and her mother hated him. Formerly lived at Elm House, Belsize, Hampstead and (workplace?) Snow Hill, City of London. Also of Plasisa, Nr Corwen, Merioneth. Left £140,000.
Ann Caroline Giesler [Parents] was born on 18 May 1808 in London. She died on 11 Jan 1897 in Hove, Sussex. She married John Lloyd in 1828.
She was an executor of her mother's will, proven on 03.02.1862. She lived finally at 50 Brunswick Square, Hove and asked to be buried in Hove with her late husband. She left £38,646.13s.1d. Her will describes her as being of 'Plas isa', Corwen, Merioneth. This may be the home of her husband - John Lloyd.

Francis Edward Newton died in 1891. He married Ellen Giesler in 1874.
He was the rector of St Matthews church at St Leonards on Sea. They
are believed to have had two sons and a daughter Irene, a good
violinist, and a good friend of her cousins Claudie and Dini Parkes.
Ellen Giesler [Parents] was born on 11 Oct 1836 in London. She died on 17 Sep 1935 in St Leonards-on-Sea. She married Francis Edward Newton in 1874.
Was living at 'Mountfield', Upper Maze Hill, St Leonards when she died. She left £3,132.19.11d and probate was granted to Irene Muriel Newton (Spinster), Charles Giesler Norbury and Edward Newton MRCS LRCP.

family. She was a good musician (violin) so loved playing music with
Claudie.
Edward Dr. Newton [Parents] was born in 1875. He died in 1944. He married Edith Thompson in 1919.

Joseph Wainwright Hodgetts died on 14 Feb 1851 in Manchester. He married Sarah Mayo Parkes on 25 May 1824.
He was a chemist, who lost his life in an explosion in a chemical works in Manchester.
Sarah Mayo Parkes [Parents] was born on 28 May 1797. She died on 30 Jul 1887. She married Joseph Wainwright Hodgetts on 25 May 1824.
